THE MEFFS (UK) to RiP!

The British punk duo The Meffs are coming to Porsgrunn and Rockeklubben i Porsgrunn (RiP) on Friday, August 22! Known for their explosive live shows, The Meffs deliver frenetic punk rock and are currently making waves with their critically acclaimed debut album "What a Life", released last year and featured on many 2024 best-of lists.

They've already toured with legends like Alice Cooper, NOFX, and Frank Turner, supported Buzzcocks and Peter Doherty, played the Rebellion Punk Festival in Blackpool, and even stopped by Oslo as support for Frank Turner at Rockefeller.

In 2022, they released the EPs Broken Britain Pt. 1 & 2, produced by Frank Turner and released on Bottles to the Ground, the new label founded by Fat Mike (NOFX / Fat Wreck Chords).

🎉 We're kicking off the fall season with a bang!

August 18, 2025 marks exactly 35 years since Chris Erichsen Orkester took the outdoor stage at Øvre Frednes for the very first concert organized by Rockeklubben i Porsgrunn. Of course, the police showed up and cut the power, claiming noise complaints from neighbors – which turned out to be a bit of a stretch. You can read all about it in the upcoming book on RiP's first 35 years, which also tells the story of the cultural activity in Porsgrunn that led to the founding of RiP in 1990.

We're so excited about the book release and anniversary that we're going all in with a jubilee weekend:
