MOSHI MOSHI & THE MOIST BOYS + PORTO GEESE live @ RiP 21/3!

15/03/2026

GARAGE-PSYCHE-HEAVEN at RiP! There are so many great bands in the Norwegian underground, and we are extremely happy to be able to present a split gig with two of the leading garage and psyche bands in the country; PORTO GEESE and MOSHI MOSHI & THE MOIST BOYS at RiP on Saturday, March 21st! Buckle up, baby!

Both bands have played at RiP before, as support for Dion Lunadon and Ida Maria respectively, so we know that these are fantastic live bands! In addition, both Porto Geese and Moshi Moshi released great albums in 2025, so there will be a lot of delicious new material from the stage.

-MOSHI MOSHI & THE MOIST BOYS-

After some time for introspection, meditation and beer can-jenga, psych/garage septet Moshi Moshi & the Moist Boys are ready to turn up the productivity and intensity to sixth gear. With "Scandinavian Breakfast", disc no. 7, out, the boy band from Oslo is ready to invite you to a typical moshi ritual of aggressive psychedelic amps and chaotic live show. Bring your girlfriend, kids, aunt and pets because this is an evening no one will forget.

Moshi Moshi & the Moist Boys are:
Sebastian Grondke
Fredik Staavi Ekern
Jørgen Myhr Stokke
Gulliver Bradshaw
Bendik Rolland
Dino Huskic

-PORTO GEESE-

Porto Geese play psychedelic death rock, or rough indie if you will. Almost four years after releasing their debut Duck, they are finally finished with their so-called difficult second album. They were afraid they had gone completely schizo on this one, but according to the record company it is "damn good" and a natural extension of the previous album, it must be so.

Porto Geese was formed when estranged childhood friends Joar and Bendik reunited after years of going their separate ways to make music. After a shared hip-hop career in elementary school, the boys were separated by the brutal separation of small-town life between the skateboarding and sports communities, but when they both had acute leisure problems in 2016, they decided to finish what they had started so many years ago. Together with their friends Halvor and Mathias, they holed up in a rehearsal space at Mølleparken for 3 years, where they mostly played ironic blues songs about imaginary family members, but after seeing King Gizzard followed by Swans in a field in Portugal, the path forward suddenly became so clear. It had to be played either damn fast or damn slow, always loud. Like that. The friends quickly built their own studio in a rotten, old place in Greenland and started hammering out bangers at a breakneck pace.

After their debut concert at Audunbakken in 2019, the band was booked for By:larm 2020, and midi drums through guitar amps were replaced by pop mogul Lars Hagensen behind the sticks. The band was now complete and could retreat and into itself, thanks to a long-awaited pandemic. The band signed with Sheep Chase Records and the EP Close was released in 2020, followed by the debut album Duck in 2021. This was followed by a small series of concerts in Norway, mostly at Blå. In 2023, the band went on a mini-tour with the legend Dion Lunadon (ex A Place to Bury Strangers) as well as a round in France and Italy. They also played a concert at Revolver that was so bad that Ole supposedly considered closing the whole business afterwards. It was so bad that the VJ was sentenced to ankle shackles and Lars' zoom went into permanent conference mode, look it up. 2024 was a seemingly quiet year with the exception of a gig at a Tons of Rock afterparty, completely devoid of denim and ponytails. Credible. Behind the scenes, a whole bunch of songs were recorded and a selection of these make up the follow-up album Pop Songs, a kind of best of PG banter era. Pop Songs was released 13.06.25 on Fysisk Format.

Get ready for the groove and the noise and the madness!
