SIENA ROOT returns to RiP with concerts for both young and old! The Swedish pioneers of modern root rock and classic rock debuted in 2003, and now have 7 albums behind them. The band travels the world with their vintage equipment to keep the sound analog and authentic, and we look forward to rare concert experiences for both young and old music lovers in Grenland!

Swedish SIENA ROOT started doing concerts in the Stockholm area in the late 90s and recorded their debut album in 2003. This was a time when many people threw away their old vinyl collections and put their turntables in the attic. From the very beginning, Siena Root strived to refine analog music creation. With 7 albums under their belt, the band is today considered pioneers of modern root rock. The band has shared the stage with everything from legends like Deep Purple and Ten Year After to modern bands in the scene like Blues Pills, All Them Witches and Kadavar.
In October 2025, more than 600 concerts later, the band's second live album, Made In KuBa, was released. Siena Root has largely operated as an experimental music collective, hence the group's many different lineups. The touring founding members with guitar, vocals, organ, bass and drums are Sam Riffer, Love H Forsberg, Johan Borgström and Zubaida Solid. The concerts are uncompromising in every way, from bringing all the heavy vintage gear that most bands lack the passion to bring to the stage, to the fact that no two concerts are the same as the band constantly pushes the musical boundaries and innovates.
The enormous dedication to bringing classic rock to the stage makes Siena Root stand out from the crowd. The last time Siena Root was at RiP, in 2021, there was a great consensus that it had been a crazy cool experience, and that this band MUST be experienced live! We are happy to give even more people the opportunity to experience this spiritual time travel back to the early 70s at RiP - let's groove baby!

LØKKEBANDET from Langangen will support Siena Root at RiP! Løkkebandet is best known for party-like concerts with a lot of cover songs by Norsk Rocks Fire Store. In addition, they make their own music in the same landscape - rock in Norwegian; lyrics with multiple layers; two guitars, bass, drums, vocals, just the way it should be! Now you have the chance to experience Løkkebandet playing their own material for the first time. The guys are literally itching to play at the local, intimate and legendary RIP stage!
