SYL (DK) live @ RiP 17/10!

The Copenhagen-based hardcore band SYL has established itself as one of the most uncompromising and intense new acts on the Danish underground scene. In SYL's hardcore universe, chaos and love go hand in hand. Driven by an intense energy, they blend punk, noise rock, and hardcore, topped off with the aggressive yet gripping vocals of Benjamin Clemens. Their second album, *TL;DR*, will be just two weeks old when they arrive at RiP on October 17th!

Their concerts have a reputation for being both physically and emotionally intense—a reputation we can certainly vouch for after seeing SYL at Pokalen in Oslo during by:larm a few years back and immediately deciding to book the band for RiP. That show was absolutely killer, and SYL's performance at RiP is guaranteed to be unforgettable for everyone in attendance. The band's debut album, *alt godt*, was released in 2022, followed by the EP *afmagt* in 2024, before their brand-new sophomore album, *TL;DR*, dropped on October 2nd to rave reviews across the board!

TRUEANDTRUE blends hardcore, post-punk, and screamo into an uncompromising, energetic, and chaotic sound. With two EPs, a string of singles, and a brand-new album under their belts, the band has garnered both national and international acclaim from outlets such as Stereogum, Dagsavisen, Distorted Sound, and NRK P3. In a perfect 6/6 review of the single "SOFTSKULLSEASON," Dagsavisen praised TRUEANDTRUE's intense, emotional sound, calling the track "an almost perfect opening." Their debut album, *NOSEDIVE*, was released on May 29.

Get ready for an intense night of hardcore in the basement; with two critically acclaimed bands—both fresh off album releases, firing on all cylinders, and pissed off at the world—you'd better hold on tight!
