After a hectic 2024 with the album release "In Technicolor", a club tour and a festival summer, The Impossible Green followed up in 2025 with a new album "Quicksilver Daydream" and their biggest tour so far, with over 50 concerts from April to November, at home and abroad. The band, which is described by Adresseavisa as "Trondheim's best band", has developed in recent years as one of the most exciting rock bands in the country, both on record and on stage.
With one foot planted in the Americana world and the other in power pop, interaction and insistent live energy are the keywords for what you can expect from the band live. With songwriting and playing pleasure in focus, this is a band you must experience.
"Quicksilver Daydream" was released on April 25th to rave reviews around the country. With references to 70s country rock and power pop, the album is filled with driving guitar riffs and powerful vocal harmonies, as well as heartwarming ballads and long songs that are made for long drives.

GAUTE LYKSETH plays American primitive guitar, focusing on the music of John Fahey. With repetitive acoustic fingerplay, the melodies dig into the listeners' heads. This is a forgotten genre that should be experienced live!
Gaute is also half of the Grenland duo Krokodiles, which has received a lot of attention in recent years, after releasing some brilliant songs as early as 15 years old, and a concert at Bylarm.
This concert will be Gaute's first at RiP as a solo artist, and we are looking forward to more than just us getting to experience his fantastic guitar playing.
