TWIN SERPENT and The Wrote live @ RiP 9/5!

04/05/2026

Outsider country for the people! With country influences and the energy of punk, this noisy but sweet outsider band manages to blur genre boundaries. Inspired by bands like The Taxpayers and 16 Horsepower, TWIN SERPENT delivers songs about love, betrayal, defiance and resistance. The dynamics vary from acoustic to amp wall with multi-part vocal harmonies, quirky guitar solos and distorted banjo.

With members from Barren Womb, Probleman and Lucky Malice, this crust country band uses lo-fi black metal aesthetics without having to bathe in blood. Add a touch of folk music and the listener is taken on a journey away from the healthy polished and studied everyday life.

With album no. 2 on the way and a bunch of sold out concerts in their hometown of Trondheim, the band is happy to spread their cosmic gospel to the people! Twin Serpent drives hard with an "in your face attitude" and is just as suitable for barn parties as for punk festivals.

The noise country punks from Trondheim will release their second album on May 8th on the notorious Svart Records (FI) and exclusively in Norway via Fucking Northpole Records (NO). The next day they will play at RiP.

Twin Serpent is:

Timo Silvola - Vocals, banjo, acoustic guitar

Hanna Fauske - Vocals, bass

Tony Gonzalez - Guitar, choir

Viktor Kristensen - drums, percussion

Liverpool-based THE WROTE play doomsday country. Folk and country songs that sound like a radio broadcast that is still playing, long after the station has been abandoned. Since 2024, they have released 11 songs, including the EP Dying Radio, recorded live and preserved as they were. Their music keeps returning to the same strange places and questions. "Is there anyone out there, in the world I once knew?". The Wrote is Julie Myhre from Langesund and English Dave Sinnott.
