UPPLOPPET and MUD GRIEF ensure that Saturday, October 3rd at RiP will be a sheer display of power showcasing what Gothenburg's finest have to offer: explosive riffs and gloriously noisy Scandi-rock 'n' roll! Get on the train, folks—rock is ALIVE and rolling fast!

UPPLOPPET is the Gothenburg band that gets ready by running a marathon to set the pace before every concert. The quintet debuted with an EP in 2017 and has released a slew of hard-hitting singles in the years since, though their first full-length album, *Road Runner*, didn't arrive until 2024. Over the years, they have built a reputation as the live band that other artists are afraid to have as a support act—except for Gluecifer!

Like a V8 engine fueled by rocket propellant, Upploppet needs no starting line when the curtain rises to deliver explosive riffs and fast-paced rock 'n' roll! From the very beginning, the band has operated according to the DIY ethos that made the Swedish underground scene famous in the 80s and 90s. Whether building and repairing their own gear, designing everything from merchandise to cover art, or stitching up their own post-show wounds, Upploppet serves up nothing but pure rock 'n' roll—no crap—to their audience. They have played TurboJugend gatherings across Scandinavia, the UK, and Germany, and toured with Gluecifer in 2026—and we look forward to our first encounter with the badass Upploppet in Porsgrunn!

MUD GRIEF's noise rock is a hybrid of raw noise, thunderous guitars, and razor-sharp melodies—or an uncompromising, stylish, and refined mess, if you will—drawing influences from genres like punk, hardcore, grunge, noise, and stoner rock. Since forming in Gothenburg in 2022, the band has been hard at work writing songs and rehearsing intensely; in late 2024, they signed with Welfare Sounds and performed at the industry showcase (and our favorite festival!) Viva Sounds in their hometown. Their debut album dropped in September 2025, and now they are finally coming to Porsgrunn and RiP! Trust us: you won't be standing still once Mud Grief kicks off that first riff!
